Africa Fashion Week Amsterdam
Task: Social Media, activation, campagne organizing, influencer marketing and public relations.
Description: Africa Fashion Week is an annual event that celebrates African fashion and culture. This three-day event displays African inspirational exhibitions, fashion shows and outstanding displays by international designers. We were hired to lead various marketing activities before and during the Africa fashion week in Amsterdam.

In Vulputate Felis
Description: Clarks, is a British-based, international shoe manufacturer and retailer. They are both shoemakers and pioneers and often challenge different designers from shoe design schools to participate in their special shoe contests. During one of these contests (in Amsterdam) we implemented a model diversity campaign without actually campagning it. We linked various competing shoe designers with dark skinned models to model their shoe design during this prestigious shoe competition award show. The aim was to create awareness of the lack of diversity in the modeling industry in The Netherlands and beyond.

Description: Wehkamp is a major lifestyle online department store from the Netherlands. They welcome over more than 145 million visitors annually and handle over 10 million shipments a year. Next to having a product range that consists of more than 400,000 different articles from about 2,000 brands, they also have their own private label in furniture, fashion and more. We were involved in executing and overseeing a “new target audience” awareness campagne that mobilized a group of young influencers to set up their own sub-webshop that included their favorite Whkmp’s OWN products. They were encouraged to set up their own art direction during a programmed workshop provided at the Wehkamp head office. After the setup the influencers shared their experiences alongside their sub-webshop with all of there . This ensured Wehkamp to attract an even younger audience om their socials.

Description: Sacha Cosmetics (founded in Trinidad and Tobago) is the most advanced brand of makeup ever developed for multicultural women. The most popular product in the line is the world-famous Buttercup Powder, which solves the decades-old problem of darker women, looking ashy in bright lighting and photos. On Amazon, it is the “Top Rated” Face Powder with 5,000 five star reviews. SACHA was the Official Cosmetics of the Miss Universe and Miss USA Pageants. The brand has reached a fair amount of exposure in the US and West-Indies but that did not count as much for Europe. Take a look on how we managed marketing activities in The Netherlands.
Joe Hart Bags
Description: Joe Hart Bags was a online boutique that sold their premium handbag collection to succesful women. Our job was to revamp their social media presence by creating interactive content and operate their social accounts. We mainly did this by creating graphics and outfit moodboards that featured Joe hart products. We also made social media cards with funny quotes prompting the audience to share the image posts with their social contacts. Next to managing Joe Hart Bag’s socials, we also strategized a campagne editorial for possible “free publicity” publishing in potential fashion magazines.

Description: Legacy Empire management (Essen, Germany) is a record label that signs, mentors and guides African musical artists. The brief was to introduce their latest artist, named Cocoa, to online media and orchestrate the art direction of her latest EP “beneat the shade”. We gathered a team and completed a one day street shoot where we captured the singer posing for various cutouts. We also organized features in online/offline media outlets that geared to the African audience. Next to mainly guiding Cocoa’s marketing campagne we were also involved with other artists like FireWoodz and Shatta Wale’s European tour in 2015.

Description: Entwine Couture Beauty is the award-winning, beauty brand of salon-proven, texture inclusive hair care that helps people of African descent conquer and reign over dryness. At the time that the company approached us, they needed a way to leverage product awareness in Europe and drive shoppers to buy their products. We were able to set up test kit boxes with samples of all the Entwine couture products and send them over to bloggers and vloggers. We also helped set up Entwine Couture pop-up stores during various Afro-hair tradeshows (Locked & Loose, Party Over Hair, Naturals in the City, Miss black hair etc.) that led to in-store product placements. We also managed their social media accounts and frequently organized giveaways.

Description: Zyllva Jewelry is a unique and exotic jewerly line that is handcrafted with lots of love. Recognizing that its existing website was not creating enough leads, the founder knew it was time to make a change. We took part in creating beautiful visuals for online purposes. But also wanted to do something completely different. Like creating a offline customers funnel that eliminates a barrier of discomfort for them, if they were to buy an expensive handcrafted jewelry online. We drawed attention by setting up various outdoor fashionshow campagnes, where models wore incredible statement pieces. Take a closer look at our Zyllva Jewelry case study.

Description: CIC provides coworking spaces for investors, innovators and startups. They also strengthen the local innovation ecosystem when they created Venture Cafe, a worldwide weekly network event. The gatherings offer freely accessible network opportunities and educative programming to help anyone with an innovative idea to succeed. Because of the strong male reputation in the industry, Venture Cafe found it import to often organize breakout session that put women entrepreneurship in the spotlight. We were allowed to implement few of the programs due to our big network of female entrepreneurs.

Description: The Student Hotel is a new concept in hybrid hospitality. They offer long term housing to students, short stay
accommodation to professionals and hotel-like rooms for travellers, combined with facilities, coworking spaces and restaurants under one roof. The Student Hotel wanted more tenants to make use of their fun, multifunctional and inclusive coworking spaces. We worked together in creating free workshops on entrepreneurship. By doing this potential tenants were more eager to step inside The Student Hotel and see what they were to get for their money.

Description: We implemented a strategy for styling agency Riley2Style to increase their brand exposure by leveraging social proof. It was important for potential clients to lower the barrier for hiring Riley2Style for wardrobe styling projects. We mainly leveraged Riley2Style’s social proof by linking the agency to third-party campagnes that created buzzworthy content. We also worked on gathering a portfolio lookbook of their work so it could be sent out to potential clients.
